Blognews #14: 6th level up!

We're celebrating our sixth anniversary! We want to thank our more than 700 followers in Spanish language lover's Community in Facebook. Thank you for your interest and support! You help us to keep this up and continue offering free quality materials weekly with your feedback and participation.

Blogticias: taller práctico D4 Spanish

Hace un año tuvimos la suerte de haber conocido previamente a Diego Arranz en una conferencia en la que colaboramos ambos. Y D4 Spanish, el proyecto de Diego, ha sido muy importante para facilitar nuestras clases y ayudar a nuestros alumnos a aprender el idioma.

Es por eso que no podíamos negarnos a ayudarle en un webinario donde se enseñaba su proyecto y necesitaba de profesores reales enseñando cómo funciona D4 Spanish y cómo lo utilizamos en nuestras clases. ¡Fue una tarde fantástica y una experiencia impactante!

Tenemos que agradecer, también, a Ana&Anny por ser unas anfitrionas del evento tan amables y alentadoras. Evento posible gracias a su proyecto Profes para Profes, que tiene como objetivo ayudar a profesores que necesiten consejo y guía, así como un punto de encuentro para la comunidad de profesores ELE.

Y también fue un placer trabajar con otras profesoras de español talentosas, como Emilia y Betsy. Para celebrarlo, queremos dar algo a un compañero profesor, algo que nos ha sido muy útil durante nuestras clases: un pack de fichas de conversación en español que ofrecemos en nuestra tienda solidaria.

Blognews: D4 Spanish workshop

One year ago we were lucky to already know Diego Arranz from a conference we worked in. And Diego's project D4 Spanish has been really important for us in order to do our lessons and help our students learn the language.

That's why we couldn't refuse helping him in a webinar where he was showing his project and needed real teachers showing how D4 Spanish works and how do we use it in our lessons. It was a really nice evening and quite an impressive experience!

We have to thank, also, Ana&Anny for being so nice and supportive hosts to the event. Held by their own project, Profes para Profes, which intends to help those teachers in need of counsel and guidance, as well as a meeting point for the ELE teachers community.

And it was also a pleasure to be able to work with other really talented Spanish teachers, such as Emilia and Betsy. To celebrate it, we want to give something that has been really useful for us during our lessons to a fellow teacher: a pack of Spanish conversational worksheets we offer on our charity shop.

Hace un año empezamos nuestro viaje como profesores y en estos momentos nos puedes encontrar en PolyTripper, donde hemos centrado nuestros esfuerzos.

Continuamos nuestro viaje en Discord, asi qué, si quieres conocer nuestro estilo de enseñanza, puedes descubrirlo gratis en The Language Sloth. Es una buena forma de ayudar a personas que no pueden permitirse clases privadas de forma regular. One year ago we started our teaching journey and currently you can find us at PolyTripper, where we are currently focusing our efforts.

We continue our journey in Discord, so, if you wan't to know our teaching style, you can learn that for free at The Language Sloth. It's a good way to help people who're not able to afford regular private lessons. Blogticias: novedades y celebraciones

Nuestro ritmo de posteo ha disminuido un poco, pero ha sido por un buen motivo. Hace seis meses empezó nuestra andadura en iTalki, donde ya llevamos más de  doscientas cincuenta clases completadas. ¡No damos abasto!

Además, nos hemos unido a una comunidad lingüística donde ofrecemos clases grupales gratuitas cada semana. Puedes encontrar The Language Sloth en Discord. Es una buena forma de ayudar a personas que no pueden permitirse clases privadas de forma regular. Y ya sabéis que nos encanta hacer contenido gratuito, sorteos y ser solidarios (como en nuestra tienda solidaria).

Otra cosa que haremos en este servidor en un futuro cercano es organizar partidas y juegos para practicar el idioma. Juegos como Black Stories, Among Us y otros.

Our posting frequency has decreased a bit, but it's for a good reason. Six months ago we started our teaching journey in iTalki, where we've completed more than two hundred and fifty lessons already. We barely keep up!

Also, we've joined a language community where we're offering free group lessons every week. You can find The Language Sloth in Discord. It's a good way to help people who're not able to afford regular private lessons. And you already know we do like to give free content, giveaways and collaborate with charity (like in our charity shop).

Another thing we will be doing in a near future in this server is organizing games to play and practice the language. Games like Black Stories, Among Us and others.

En esta entrada queremos compartir una noticia fantástica. Hemos estado trabajando la última parte del año con una asociación que necesita ayuda. Y como teníamos ganas de compartir nuestros materiales y conocimiento del español, pensamos que esta sería la mejor forma de hacerlo. Blognews: Season 20 news

In this post we want to share some great news. We've been working during the last part of the year with an association that needs some help. And as we were willing to share our materials and knowledge about Spanish, we thought this was the best way to do it. Selling them to collect money for this association that needs help.

We're talking about ASYD. This guys have been doing an outstanding work during the years they've been working, even internationaly. But they need more funds to continue their efforts on knowing more about this rare condition.

En esta entrada te contamos las novedades para esta temporada. No tenemos tantas como pensábamos, pero ya sabes que estamos en continuo desarrollo.


Hemos renovado la imagen de nuestra página de Facebook. Creemos que ahora, así, transmitimos mejor nuestro deseo de formar una comunidad activa con personas que, como tú, tengan interés por la lengua española. Intentando que sea siempre de la forma más amena posible y con un componente lúdico.


También estamos renovando nuestro blog y transformándolo un poco más en página web, dotándola de más prestaciones. Por el momento, retiramos nuestro Easter Egg, aunque no sin antes mostrarte su imagen:

Si eres profesor de español, también tenemos una noticia para ti. ¡La Conferencia ELE 2018 ya está aquí! Y nosotros participamos en ella con una presentación: Creación de infografías con PowerPoint.

Es una conferencia organizada por Óscar Ortega, Paulino Brener y Ana Martínez, con la idea de que sea "nuestra conferencia", creada por profesores para profesores.

En ella expondremos, sobre temas muy variados concernientes a la enseñanza del español como lengua extranjera, más de 20 ponentes. Es una gran oportunidad para formarse, aprender, aportar, inspirarse y contactar con colegas de profesión.

Será del 22 al 29 de septiembre y si te inscribes antes de la fecha de inicio podrás acceder gratuitamente a las ponencias, aunque por tiempo limitado (48 horas), a los paneles en vivo y a las tertulias (charlas informales).

Las grabaciones estarán disponibles durante la semana de la conferencia, pero si quieres ver todos estos contenidos durante un año una vez transcurrida la misma, podrás adquirir el Pase Premium.


Esperamos que todo esto te ayude y te anime a seguir tu camino en el aprendizaje y/o enseñanza del español.

Blognews: Season 18-19 news

In this post we share some news for this season. There are not as many as we thought there would be, but you know we're in a constant development.


We've renovated our Facebook page image. We believe now we're really transmitting our desire of building up an active communitty, with people like you, who are interested in the Spanish language. But never letting go the fun, trying to do so in a fun way and with a ludic component.


We're also renovating our blog and transfroming it, step by step, to become a web page, creating more outputs. And for the moment, we're removing our  Easter Egg, although we want to leave the image down here.

If you're a Spanish teacher, we're also having some news for you. The Conferencia ELE 2018 has arrived! And we're participating in it with a presentation: Creación de infografías con PowerPoint.

It's a conference runed and hosted by Óscar Ortega, Paulino Brener y Ana Martínez, with the idea of creating "our conference", adressed to teachers and created by teachers.

In it there will be more than 20 speakers presenting about lots of interesting and varied topics related to teaching Spanish as a foreign language. It's a great oportunity to learn, share, educate and inspire one self, knowing and contacting other colleagues.

It takes place from the 22nd to the 29th of September, and if you subscribe before the starting date, you'll have access to all the presentations for free, although, for a limted time (48 hours), to the live panels and chats (informal chats).

The recordings will be available during the week of the conference, but if you want to see all the contents during a whole year after it takes place, you can acquire the Premium Pass.


We hope all this changes will help you and motivate you to continue following your path in the teaching or learning progress of the Spanish language.
