Idioms: meterse en camisa de once varas

We continue the section called Idioms (modismos). An idiom is an expression whose meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings of its constituent elements. They are mostly used in colloquial contexts.

In English, meterse en camisa de once varas, will be: to get into trouble needlessly.

¿Alguna vez te has metido en camisa de once varas? ¿En qué situación? ¡Cuéntanos!

As always, you can leave your answers in the commentaries of this same post, in your learning journal in Kotoba Miners' Spanish subforum or as a reply in this image in Kotoba Miners' Facebook.
